After completing a class project on the 1930’s, and listening to other classmates talk about the decades of fashion past, I decided to bring this knowledge to The Garment Garden! I have always identified most with the 1970’s hippie style so, first I want to dive into the 70’s and talk about some key trends. The first trend I want to discuss is the influence of the wild west style on the 70’s as well as today.
New York Fashion Week is well underway with only two days left of shows, but already some major spring trends have emerged. I was fortunate enough to attend my first show ever (yay!!) at Skylight Clarkson Square on Sunday morning to see Francesca Liberatore on behalf of Halfstack magazine, read my show review HERE. The show was amazing; full of muted colors, classic plaid, and sheer lace embellishments – just some of the amazing, upcoming spring trends.
This past weekend I went on a road trip with my family to Niagara Falls, Ontario, and finally had the chance to try out my new lemon print dress, and let me tell you I am OBSESSED.
