While living in New York City one of the many things I never fail to spend money on is food. The number of cute little café’s or trendy vegan spots is endless, and I plan to eat at as many as I can until I leave in December. This post will always be growing with my new favorite places and foods so be sure to check back often!

This past Thursday, my roommates and I, along with the rest of our study tour class, went to the taping of The Harry Show. We were part of the live audience and even got to hug Harry at the beginning of the show. It was weird to see the taping of a show right in front of you, with people running around to make sure cameras were working and fixing hair/makeup. I have never watched a talk show before, let alone gone to the taping of one, so the whole experience was new for me.

This past week for our study tour class we went to check out the Rebecca Minkoff store in Soho, NYC. At Minkoff’s store in Soho they have all the latest retail technology in place. When a customer enters the store they are greeted by a large touch screen mirror where they can order a complementary beverage to sip on while they shop.

Today for our study tour class we had the amazing opportunity to go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art to see the Rei Kawakubo / Comme des Garcons: Art of the In-between exhibit. This exhibit is truly like nothing I’ve ever seen before with each piece more unique than the last. The uniqueness is refreshing, especially when fashion is currently in a state of knockoffs and lawsuits over designs.
